h1. Installation Instruction 

 eLamX² eLamX is available written in two ways for Windows 64bit and Linux 64bit. On Java. Due to this fact the one hand as an installer and on Java Runtime Environment Version 1.7 is a requirement to run the other hand as a ZIP file. 

 The installer installs eLamX² on the system including all necessary dependencies. The ZIP files contain a directly executable version of eLamX², so that no installation or administrator permissions are necessary. The ZIP files simply have to be unzipped into a folder of your choice and then eLamX itself. You can download the executable file in the "bin" folder started. Java Runtime Environment from 

 > http://www.java.com 

 To install, install eLamX download the appropriate installer for your operating system (Windows 64bit, Linux 64bit) OS (Windows, Linux, Mac OSX) from the eLamX² eLamX website

 . Furthermore a OS independent ZIP version is provided. In this case no installation is required. 

 h2. Windows 

 At first a installed Java Runtime Environment 1.7 and higher is required. 

 # Download the installer (ends with: .exe) 
 (For Windows, the installer executable file has the .exe extension.)  
 # Start Double-click the installation with a double click on the downloaded installer file to run it. 
 # Follow the instructions. 

 h2. Linux 

 At first a installed Java Runtime Environment 1.7 and higher is required. 

 # Download the installer (ends in: .sh) (For Linux, the installer executable file has the .sh extension.) 
 # Open a terminal 
 # Change to the download directory @cd $DOWNLOAD_FOLDER@ 
 # Set Make the installer files executable flag for by using the installer following command: @chmod +x elamx2-linux.sh@ 
 # Start the installation process @./elamx2-linux.sh@ 
 # Follow the instructions. 

 h2. ZIP file OS X 

 h2. ZIP-File 

 # After downloading the download of the platform-independent ZIP file for your OS, completes, extract it must be unzipped into to any folder.

 # In Run the eLamX² directory that is now available, the executable file located in the "bin" subdirectory must be executed with a double click. The following assignment applies: subdirectory. 
 > Windows with mit Java 32bit: elamx2.exe 
 > Windows with mit Java 64bit: elamx264.exe 
 > Linux: elamx2 

 h1. Set the language of the eLamX² 

 Basically, the program adapts to the language settings of the operating system. 
 The default language is English. The program only starts with a German GUI if the operating system language is German. 

 So far, this behavior can only be changed using options when starting the program. There are two ways given bit number refers to do this. 

 h2. Temporary Solution 

 When calling the program in the command line or input prompt, "-locale en" must be added. 

 Example Windows 

 "C:\\$INSTALLATION DIRECTORY$\\bin\\elamx2.exe" –locale en 

 Example Linux 

 $INSTALLATION DIRECTORY$/eLamX2 –locale en 

 h2. Permanent Solution 

 "–Locale en" has Java Runtime Environment and not to be added in the configuration file of eLamX². This can be found in the following locations: 

 Windows 

 C:\\$INSTALLATION DIRECTORY$\\etc\\elamx2.conf 

 Linux 

 $INSTALLATION DIRECTORY$/etc/elamx2.conf 

 In the elamx2.conf, the entry default_options OS. If a 32bit Java is supplemented by "–locale en" so that it looks like this: 

 default_options = "- locale en ..." 

 As installed an a further alternative, 64bit OS you have to use the temporary solution can also be implemented as a link in Windows. 32bit executable (elamx2.exe). wird dann ein Fehler gemeldet.
