eLamX is written in Java. Due to this fact the Java Runtime Environment Version 1.7 is a requirement to run the installer or eLamX itself. You can download the Java Runtime Environment from

To install eLamX download the installer for your OS (Windows, Linux, Mac OSX) from the eLamX website

Furthermore a OS independent ZIP version is provided. In this case no installation is required.

At first a installed Java Runtime Environment 1.7 and higher is required.

# Download the installer (For Windows, the installer executable file has the .exe extension.)

# Double-click the installer file to run it.

The given bit number refers to the Java Runtime Environment and not to the OS. If a 32bit Java is installed an a 64bit OS you have to use the 32bit executable (elamx2.exe). wird dann ein Fehler gemeldet.
